DIHAD 2008 in its fifth edition will aim to contribute through dialogue on a number of pressing issues affecting the humanitarian domain and communities in need.
The conference will be addressed by prominent speakers of the humanitarian industry who will engage through their interactive sessions to bring forth the following humanitarian issues
- Future humanitarian threats and their longer-term implications.
- The use of scientific and technological innovation to strengthen humanitarian crisis prevention, preparedness and response to deal with such threats.
- Middle Eastern humanitarian expertise
- Changing nature of humanitarian actors and the role of the corporate sector
- Lessons learned from the humanitarian crises of 2006-2007
The conference will also host interactive pre-conference workshops.
